Understanding Near Field Communication (NFC)

Your Future is a Tap Away!

We are entering a new era in gas furnace controls. Introducing Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, which allows the adjustment of operating parameters, diagnostics, and service via a field-supplied mobile device with a supported mobile app. The enhanced controls of NFC will offer improved serviceability and accessibility for A2L mitigation. At the same time, the gas furnace controls are equipped with a new, on-board, 3-digit display with push-button navigation.

There are many benefits to NFC technology including:

  • Quicker installation time
  • Built-in verifications for a quality install and fewer callbacks
  • Detailed diagnostic information and troubleshooting tips
  • Save favorite setup parameters for repeat floorplans
  • Export a report to keep on file

This innovative furnace control board will streamline installation and service, making setup and adjustments faster and more accurate. NFC technology enables communication between the furnace control and technician apps.
